Bleach and De-tan Solution at Home

Visiting a salon regularly for bleaching or de-tan processes needs extra time and more effort. But what if we say that you can make your skin glow at home by bleaching and de-tanning?

Bleaching is used to lighten the skin colour using chemical solutions. This is used particularly to lighten the skin areas that are dark compared to surrounding skin, such as age spots, sun spots, or freckles. It is also used to lighten facial hair.

Homemade Bleaching Pack

Tomato, Lemon and Buttermilk Tan Remover

Take two tablespoons of lemon, tomato juice and buttermilk in a bowl. This mixture is a little watery as there is nothing included that makes this a paste. Apply this paste half an hour before bathing. All ingredients in this mask are sour and slightly acidic which can be a very good bleaching agent. It helps reduce the dark pigmentation of your skin.

Turmeric and Milk Cream Tan Remover

This paste consists of turmeric that comes with skin-lightening properties. Using turmeric on damaged skin can be a bad idea; you have to add some soothing agents. That’s why we recommend milk cream. Add these to a bowl and mix this creamy paste. Apply this creamy paste to your skin for 15 minutes and rinse it off.

Tomato and Potato Tan Remover Paste

Tomato consists of several skin-brightening properties as it is rich in phosphorus, antioxidants, vitamins, iron and many more. This paste is rich in vitamin C properties. Apply to the area where you feel tanning and darkness. Remove after 15 minutes using normal water.

Turmeric, Besan and Milk Tan Remover

Turmeric offers bright skin complexion and comes with antiseptic and antibacterial properties. Mix these in a container and apply to the dark area. Have it on your skin for a minimum of 20-30 minutes.

 Detanning

Detanning helps remove tan from the skin to reveal brighter, more even-toned skin underneath. The process is mostly used in areas that have been exposed to sunlight or artificial tanning methods, such as tanning beds or spray tans.

There are several products available in store or you can prepare them at home. Before using any product directly on your skin, do patch tests and also consider your skin type and sensitivity, as well as the severity of your tan.

The Process for Detan at Home

  • Wash your face properly to remove dirt, excess oil and impurities.
  • Choose de-tan products as per your skin whether it’s homemade or from stores.
  • Apply the de-tan product on the areas you want to remove tanning, using a cotton ball or pad.
  • Leave the paste on your skin as mentioned on the label.
  • Clean the de-tan product from your face using cool water.
  • Apply a good serum or moisturiser to soothe your skin and prevent dryness.

Before using anything directly on your face, read its label carefully.

Conclusion
These are some bleaching and de-tan processes you can opt for at home. Do patch tests before applying any product to your skin.
